VANS 20TH ANNIVERSARY HALF CAB ARTIST SERIES – STEVE CABALLERO

2012 marks the 20th Anniversary of the Vans Half Cab. Vans continues to celebrate this milestone in skateboard footwear history with a Fall series of four distinctive Half Cab 20th Anniversary artist collaborations, each with a new, limited edition custom label design. So far, we’ve released special edition Half Cabs with artists MOFO and DIRTY DONNY - for August, we decided to turn to the original creator himself.

This month, skateboarding legend Steve Caballero releases his new artistic vision of his iconic skate shoe. Many may not realize that Cab is an amazing artist and illustrator in his own right. For the August release of the Half Cab Anniversary Artist series, Cab takes inspiration from his legendary board graphic iconography and appreciation for Japanese anime.
